Xgimi MoGo Pro+

The XGIMI Mogo Pro+ carries an MSRP of around $699, while the original XGIMI Mogo Pro can be found on Amazon for $649; on sale at $579 at the time of writing. This is certainly not on the cheap side as portable, battery-equipped 1080P units start at around $200. But those units don't offer built-in Android and are much larger, all while forcing the user to manually focus and setup the unit. On top of that, they lack audio and tend to skirt any real-world brightness numbers, so you are left hoping for the best. The XGIMI Mogo Pro+ can be considered the high-end, high-quality option in that crowded portable projector market, much like one would consider iPhones in the phone space or DJI in the drone segment. It would have been great if it had native Netflix support and shipped with the case for ultimate out-of-the-box portability, but even so, you get quite the complete, functional package that allows you to turn it on and watch stored movies, stream your favorite show or play games on the go, all with the same Android TV interface you will find on your TV at home, with a fully fledged Google Assistant and excellent built-in audio. This results in one device to do it all, which is the essence of portable. While there are a slew of choices out there for portable projectors, very few check all of those boxes well, which makes the XGIMI Mogo Pro+ a pretty awesome choice and worth the money, and if the automatic keystone function isn't important, you can go for the original Mogo Pro and save a few bucks. While there are smaller units out there, those provide less brightness, while the brighter units, on the other hand, tend to be bigger and more expensive, so the Mogo Pro and Pro+ are a good compromise.
