DeepCool LS

Zuletzt hatten wir hier aus dem Hause Deepcool einen kleinen Luftkühler zum Testen, heute geht es praktisch genau um das Gegenteil. Mit der neuen LS-Serie bescheinigt sich der Hersteller selbst „Elite Leistung“, ob man dieses Versprechen halten kann erfahrt ihr im nachfolgenden Artikel.

Overall the DeepCool LS720 all-in-one liquid cooler is a 360 mm offering that does quite well but has a few flaws. With regards to pure performance, it did quite well on our AMD test bench, scoring in the middle of the pack when looking specifically at 360 mm units. However, on our Intel test bench, it was heavily outperformed by other offerings. Now I will say it did manage to handle all the overclocked tests with room to spare, so it's not the end of the world by any means; the unit just doesn't offer best-in-class performance. Part of this is due to the tuned noise profile. While it still falls behind in noise normalized tests, it remains one of the quieter AIOs available when the fans spin at maximum RPM.

Last time, we had a small air cooler from Deepcool for testing, but today it’s practically exactly the opposite. With the new LS series, the manufacturer certifies itself “elite performance”, whether you can keep this promise you will learn in the following article.

I really like the DeepCool LS720, and, in truth, am honestly struggling to find anything particularly notable to criticise about it. Now admittedly, ARGB lighting is not to all tastes, and that includes my own. Given that this is the undoubted trend the market is taking, however, DeepCool has not done it with the LS720 cheaply, half-heartedly, or as something of an afterthought to compliment an otherwise boring design (and I can think of a lot of products that fall into that latter category!).

The LS720 receives high marks in the test because of its excellent performance. The RGB lighting is something we like as well. The AiO's cooling performance is excellent; the thing that may be improved is the relatively deficient acoustic performance from the fans. Tweak it a little and you can get a really silent setup here, you certainly have plenty of cooling capacity to play around with. You can apply the latest CPUs, LGA 1700, Intel's most recent socket. Socket AM5 also is already listed to be compatible, so you are pretty future-proof with this kit. We discovered that the entire procedure of installing the LS Series went off without any big snags. The procedure is uncomplicated and easy to follow. We would recommend pre-attaching the cords for daisy chaining before installing the fans/radiator because our initial approach resulted in the connectors on the fans facing the top edge of the case being difficult to access. Pre-attaching cables before putting everything inside the computer case will eliminate the need to re-install. The most confusing part however is cabling itself, take your time there. Other than that the new DeepCool LS720 is a well-designed and capable performer, and it is yet another alternative in a growing industry that is worth investigating further if the price suits your budget. DeepCool has just unveiled the LS Series AIO liquid cooler, the latest addition to its AIO liquid cooler lineup. DeepCool is one of the biggest and the best at what they do, and today is really no exception. The DeepCool LS520 WH 240mm AIO Cooler really hits the mark, delivering good cooling performance and acoustics. Admittedly not the best, but overall, it’s still what I would regard as high-end. Of course, since I built my new test bench, I’ve tested the best-of-the-best, and really, they’re fierce competition for each other, not just the LS520. What is impressive, is the actual system performance. This cooler was able to maintain higher clock speeds, which resulted in it posting some of my highest Cinebench scores yet. However, it’s hard to ignore that the NZXT Kraken was basically cooler and quieter, while also delivering better performance. However, at current retail prices, the Kraken is also £40 extra, and that’s basically 30-40% more expensive for some relatively small gains. Of course, if you have the money, it’s worth the extra, but if not, the Kraken is a close second for solid performance. The build quality is excellent though, and the pump was virtually silent, the liquid never seemed to gurgle or bubble when in normal operation, and with a tweak of the slightly aggressive default fan curves to a silent profile, you can improve the acoustics without impacting the overall cooling performance by any significant amount. The aesthetics are on point too. Available in black or white, and both with that stunning infinity mirror pump and those sexy ARGB fans, it’s sure to look great in any system.

The LH720 WH from DeepCool is one of the best CPU coolers I had a chance to review. It’s well-designed, performs great, and looks exceptional. DeepCool also added some original features like leak-proof technology or a mirror top with a replaceable pad that make this product even more special.
