Die ASUS ROG Ryujin II 360 ist eine der extremsten AiO-Kühlungen am Markt. So bietet sie ein großes 3,5-Zoll-LCD, das Systeminformationen, individuelle Bilder und Animationen anzeigen kann und wird mit hochwertigen Noctua-Lüftern ausgeliefert. Eine Asetek-Pumpe der siebten Generation soll für hohe Leistung und eine geringe Lautstärke sorgen. Aber ist die beachtliche Ausstattung auch den stattlichen Preis von 330 Euro wert?

Die ASUS ROG Ryujin II 360 macht ein Häkchen bei so ziemlich jedem Wunsch, den Gamer und PC-Enthusiasten an eine AiO-Wasserkühlung haben könnten. Dem gegenüber steht jedoch auch ein Premium-Preisschild von knapp 330 Euro, für die ROG Ryujin II 360 müsst ihr also tief in die Tasche greifen.

ASUS hat mit der ROG RYUJIN II 360 eine Leistungsfähige premium All in One Wasserkühlung auf den Markt gebracht. Sie bietet auch genügend Leistung, um große CPUs ausreichend zu kühlen. Auch bei der Verarbeitung gibt es nichts zu meckern. Ein echter Blickfang ist das 3,5“ große Full-Color-Display das auch als Hardwaremonitor genutzt werden kann. Der kleine Zusatzlüfter im Wasserblock sorgt für einen zusätzlichen Airflow bei den VRMs und der ersten SSD und lässt diese im Betrieb etwas kühler bleiben. Abgerundet wird das Ganze von den leistungsfähigen IndustrialPPC 2000 PWM Lüftern aus dem Hause Noctua, die zwar in diesem Fall nicht die leisesten, aber dafür in Sachen Kühlleistung die perfekte Wahl sind. Auch ARGB Liebhaber kommen mit den zusätzlichen vier 3-Pin-Anschlüssen des ROG AiO Fan Controllers in den Genuss, ihr System darüber mit einer umfangreichen ARGB-Beleuchtung ausstatten und steuern zu können. Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist der recht hohe Preis. Die ASUS ROG RYUJIN II 360 ist zum Zeitpunkt unseres Tests für ca. 350 € bei verschiedenen Händlern erhältlich. The reviewed Asus Ryujin II 360 cooler performed well and handled both tested processors, including the overclocked Core i9 12900K at 5.1 GHz using the 1.3V. The noise at the maximum rpm is just too much, but you can set your fan curve to make it more reasonable, especially on the AMD platform. Additionally, there are 240 mm and 360 ARGB variants available as well. The price is relatively high, but the competition's pricing is quite similar for the AIOs with a display placed on a pump. The LCD screen can be handy when displaying temperature, voltage, frequency, or decoration if it displays a logo or various animations with text. Still – the Armoury Crate software is not perfectly stable, and it sometimes has problems with device recognition. Some improvements are applied constantly, but there are better options in the market.

The ASUS ROG Ryujin II 360 is a prime example of the company's continued effort to take things to an extreme. Not content with the small OLED display built into the previous Ryujin series of coolers, they opted to go big rather than go home. The new 3.5" LCD display offers bright, crisp visuals and can be used to monitor various things when paired with AIDA64 Extreme, such as FPS, GPU clock, CPU clock, etc. On top of that, it can be used to display custom graphics. If you're looking at adding custom images or GIF files, you can have up to seven of them with a maximum file size of 16 MB. To be blunt, the LCD is the main focal point, and while not a new feature, ASUS certainly took it a step further, and it's likely why you are considering the Ryujin II 360 to begin with. The Noctua fans are also a great addition from a build quality and performance standpoint.

Bottom line: in the absence of true innovation, CPU cooler manufacturers have resorted to grandiose aesthetics as a means to introduce shiny new models, resulting in the likes of the Asus RoG Ryujin II 360.

There are always a few products which completely change their market and the creation of the All In One (AIO) cooler is unquestionably one of the biggest factors in PC systems over the last few years. It isn't only the simplicity of their design which allows more room for your lighting to be shown off, but their simplicity of building and installing too. Anyone who spent any amount of time with tower coolers, and particularly dual stack tower coolers, will know the difficulty in getting the fans attached to their heatsink. Most AIOs come pre-assembled but even those that don't it's no issue at all to screw the fans on to the radiator. All of this is fine, but the real boon comes in how well they cool. Instead of a quite loud fan doing it's best to tame a medium power CPU, you have some quiet fans doing an impressive job of keeping all but the most insane CPUs well under control. One thing that's been a fairly new addition to AIOs everywhere is some lighting on the pump head. We've had infinity mirrors, RGB logos, customisable logos, and now with the Ryujin II ASUS have stepped up their game and brought us a full colour screen onto which you can run nearly anything you desire. The fact that's attached to a 360mm Radiator is icing on the cake.

At the end of the day, the ROG Ryuo III 360 ARGB did not disappoint us as we expected it to be as good as the Ryujin II 360 since both of them are on the high-end AIO cooler spectrum that compromises nothing in terms of performance and feature set relating to the user experience. Coupled with its wide compatibility with Intel (115x to 1700) and AMD (AM4, AM5), one can finally tame the toasty CPU for the best gaming frame rates while looking cool.
